About Me

My name is Kelsie, and I’m a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST), certified by Safe Kids USA.

I have been passionate about keeping kids safe in cars since 2006, when I learned that most car seats are used incorrectly, leading to preventable injuries and deaths. In 2009, I became a CPST, and I recertify every two years.

In 2014, I completed Safe Travel for All Children, an additional training course that covered special health care considerations and alternative restraint systems.

I regularly attend various manufacturer update sessions, as well as local and national safety conferences to stay current on the latest in transportation safety.

Some of the conferences I’ve attended include Kidz in Motion, Lifesavers, and the Washington Child Passenger Safety Summit.

I have worked as a professional nanny since 2012. I care for preschool-age twins and their baby brother two days per week, in order to have more availability for Cinch appointments.

In my free time, I enjoy playing strategic board games, cheering for the Kraken and Torrent hockey teams, and going to power metal concerts.

Most evenings you’ll find me watching action movies with my husband and our two spoiled cats, Ronon (left) and Rodney (right).
